Hampton-in-Arden hockey club umpire Lis Hedley showed tremendous pedal power last month when she pedalled her way to Paris from Solihull. Lis rode over 330 miles in 4 days as part of a group of riders raising money to help build a new Marie Curie hospice for the West Midlands. The day started in bright sunshine with an estimated 40 expected to play. We eventually “registered” enough for 8 teams of between 9 and 10 per team! To make up for the cancelled Boxing Day game, the club is holding a replacement knock-about game on New Year’s Day. If you would like to play, please turn up for 1pm and we’ll sort out some games!

Message from Andy Woolford: Training is finished now until the 4th Jan so relax and enjoy your Christmas! Thank you to for your efforts this season on what has been a tough half a season for some, lets hope it will improve next year. Boxing Day social hockey is as per usual – we start at 11.00am, so it would good to see as many as possible.
Due to inclement weather, all hockey matches and training is cancelled on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December.
