Read moreDue to the weather actually arriving as forecast today, we think there are too many risks to safety and enjoyment for travelling to and training at Hampton. We’ve reluctantly decided to cancel training. The u14 boys’ match at 12 will go ahead as planned.
Read moreDelighted to share that our own JSM is in New Zealand playing in the Masters Tournament. Well done Jeannie. Enjoy.
Read moreAnother cracker of a draw for Hampton 5s against Droitwich 3s, currently second in the topsy turvey table (Harborne played 11, Bloss played 8). A full on highly competitive game saw us 0-0 at half time, before falling behind to a well taken goal on the break. But with JD driving us on we carried on attacking and managed to win a flick. Cooly slotted by Craig, a reward for his hard work, we saw Read more…
Progress dear friends progress! Stratford beat us 5-3 in the opening weeks of the season so a 2-2 draw is an improvement, but oh how this one hurts. We dominated the game and were well worth a win. We were 2-0 up at half time (goals by Tom Norrington and Nigel Pond) and 2-0 up with only 7 to go. On one of their rare attacks the ball looped toward the goal, in a moment Read more…

On the day the goalposts were moved – Strange day with storm Darragh causing a bit of chaos, it was game on as far as Harborne and the M5 were concerned. In the warm up a gust blew the goalposts back about 3ft behind the line, luckily the weather calmed as the game started. As with our last few weeks Hampton started well and were soon creating chances and restricting Harborne to break aways. As Read more…
Hampton Ladies 1’s went to Cannock hoping to continue their winning streak. A solid first half performance saw Hampton take the lead with a goal midway through the period. Cannock came out strong in the second half putting us under pressure and eventually scoring two goals. Despite a spirited performance and a number of chances, Hampton could not level the score line. It was a disappointing result, and the ladies will look forward to the Read more…
Further progress this week with our first clean sheet of the season. Sills created few clear opportunities due the the quality of our defensive 5 with MOTM Mark Hiles playing exceptionally well, stepping in to tackle and intercept and driving us up the right. We were the dominant side and created opportunities. Thankfully Siddarth Sailesh in his second competitive game ghosted onto the far post and cooly tucked away the cross from our other 13 Read more…
A tale of 2 weekends, last Saturday we ran the right process but could not buy a goal, this week, same process, different outcome, and a 3-1 win. Credit all over the pitch, the team were excellent, there is room to improve but our progression is clear. Stand outs were Joe Dunne who stepped in to keep for us with only a couple of hours notice (the writer having stuffed his back earlier that day). Read more…
A tale of what might have been. The bad part – they scored two and won. The second a two man break, Hampton need that not to happen again. Now the good and there is lots of it. Our play from the back featuring Henry and dad Dom with Eshan through to Ollie, Joe and Jack was excellent including lots of triangles and give and go. Phils one touch passing was excelent in creating space. Read more…
