What looked like a difficult game turned out to be just that. But there are many positives! We played with only 10 men for all but 20 minutes (No one was sent off, just could not arrive any earlier) . We were 1-1 at the end of the first half, a fantastic effort against second in the league. They had a number of very experienced players and some youth but our young and older players battled well. Our goal, scored by Ryan Duffy playing his first game this season was excellently set up by Joe Dunne. In the second half they managed to step up a gear played their spare man better and were able to create their opportunities. Their 5th goal, from a short corner was the first successful drag flick I have seen in this league for quite some time. MOM nominations came in for Joe, his Dad Paul in goal and Jack Pond.
