A scoreline that did not reflect the game. We started slowly and were under the cosh for the first 30 minutes or so. A couple of bizzare umpiring decisions saw Long Buckby awarded a penalty flick, well dispatched by one of their youngsters. The second, what we thought was a reckless air shot in the D off a short corner, sparked us into playing better and the play transferred to their end of the pitch. Our new found pressure resulted in a goal from Kaiser Wong and with only 3 or 4 minutes to half time we needed to hold on but they struck back within a moment or two with a deflected shot. The second half was played almost entirely in their half, we won shorts, had shots but were unable to convert that pressure into goals. They manged to score from one of their rare shorts and then a break away. Definitely not a fair result.
