Back in December I wrote about how my ex geography teacher always wanted to see progress. Well “Hair Bear”, for that was his nickname would be as chuffed with our progress as I am. Last time round Beacon scored 2 against us, they did yesterday, but where we had no response last time, we outscored them yesterday putting 3 past them for the win. We should have been 3-1 but for a strange first goa;l I thought hit from outside of the D and left by our defence I calmly let in in only to see the umpire pointing to the centre for a push back. Strong memo to self – do not assume and stick a kicker on it. Otherwise a great performance across the team, solid defence, great midfield effort and a new strike force of Owen M and Rory Copland causing havoc. Rory was MOM with a hat-trick. Next week a 6 pointer against Worcester and more, I hope progress.
