A game played in great spirit against a good quality opposition, their older guys were all very experienced and their 4 youngsters played well. We debuted Dom Dixon this week who looks to have a useful future and many of our young players are in their first season. They coped really well with changing positions and we managed the 14 player squad effectivly ( thanks Rupert). Things looked up and we were the better side in the first half creating chances and taking shots, all unfortunatly to no avail. We won shorts and tried a variety of combinations, something to practice at training. They took their limited chances well despite the efforts of our keeper Paul. Man of the Match nominations were varied reflecting the effort throughout the team with Gabrial Rickard, Tom Norrington, Henry Dixon and Joe Dunne all nominated, but Jack Pond got the most votes. Jack played a great game on the left side of the midfield, getting and staying wide and making great efforts to get up and down the pitch. All in all another good effort by a young (exclude Mike and I from that) team. Cheers Chris
