The sports club is supporting a 24 hour charity gym bike ride in aid of the Cameron Grant memorial fund.
The ride will take place at The Hampton health and fitness club, where there will be 19 gym bikes available from 12 noon on 15th May till 12 noon on 16th May.
Now we’re looking for people to ride these bikes! You don’t even have to pedal for 24 hours, just one hour of your time is all that’s wanted.
This event is aimed at all ages and fitness levels. And if you don’t want to cycle, how about sponsoring a rider instead?
The money raised will go to the Cameron Grant memorial fund, which was recently set up and which will be used to raise awareness of young suicide; to urge all who are suffering in silence to speak up and ask for help, and to support young people who are fighting to overcome poor mental health, especially where this can be done through outdoor activities like exercise, hill walking and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award which Cameron enjoyed so much.
If you can spare some of you time and/or money, please email [email protected].
