Many of the ladies section got together to celebrate the end of season and our 2nd team captain, Jean Scott-Miller’s 60th birthday. Jean is a well known member of our club, as not only is she a team captain, she’s also secretary and has been a player with us since the 70s!
This ‘lady master’ of the club said “I could not be happier than to spend my special day at Hampton. I am so proud to be called a “Hamptonite” and be a part of such a friendly, inviting club full of lovely people.”
Tea and cakes were enjoyed in the sun by the ladies in a fitting end to a hard season. Although results for the 1st team have not gone their way, the 2nds have achieved a good standing in their division and the 3rds have played, and won, regularly on Sundays in the friendly league.
