The sports club is hosting two social events this month and hockey members are welcome to attend. 19th-21st September – Real Ale Festival Weekend You will be able to check out three top ales from the Great British Beer Festival 2014. Representing!!

Over the summer it was our veteran players taking the representative honours, but now it’s the turn of our juniors. Congratulations to Hampton juniors, Grace Jeyes, Iwan Doherty and Barney Dowson, who have been selected for the JRPC Tier 1 cluster competitions. Playing Shirt Squad Numbers

If you want a different, specific number on your new kit we are offering the opportunity to purchase one for £5, assuming it is not already allocated. Numbers not currently available are below. We have considered how to handle Ladies and Mens numbering and concluded that having different numbers is the best option. The Rabobank Hockey World Cup starts this Saturday, and all 76 games will be shown live on Sky Sports. England men’s and women’s teams are both in action, including former Hampton junior Sally Walton. Wine tasting night at the club

On Thursday 29th May at 7.30pm the sports club is hosting a wine tasting night. Hosted by Hampton Manor sommelier Seamus Sharkey, the event will give you the chance to learn about wine and to have a taste or two! Tickets cost £10 each and including a glass of fizz on arrival, plus 125ml each of two reds and two whites.

Hampton host England Masters

Hampton ladies hosted the England Lady Masters over 60s side on Sunday. A mix of Hampton’s 1st, 2nd and 3rd team ladies played a game against the England side as they prepare for their World Cup competition in the summer. The highly competitive game was played in great spirit, and we were pleased to come out 3-0 winners. Both teams are pictured below.

Ladies – want to try hockey?

Back to Hockey is just for ladies who want to give hockey a go. We’ll be running a series of Back to Hockey sessions starting on 27th April for five weeks. Each session will start at 11.15 at our astro pitch in Hampton and will last an hour. There will be tea and cake in the clubhouse after. We will provide sticks, just wear your trainers.
