WELCOME TO HAMPTON IN ARDEN JUNIOR HOCKEY CLUB
Junior Hockey training starts this Sunday morning 4th September 2022 at 10.00. We train every Sunday onwards even through half terms, though we do take a 2-3 week break at Xmas and finish around Easter. Cancellations are only due to snow or frost and details are emailed.
It is compulsory for the children to wear shin pads and gum shield when attending
We are blessed with many top quality coaches. Our Head Coach is Jon Doherty. Jon was recognised as Coach of the Year by England Hockey recently and currently coaches the South Midlands Performance Centre. We have a range of experienced qualified coaches that have played at National and Midlands 1st team hockey supplemented by a group of committed volunteers that play at all levels within our family club.
The Junior Hockey Club is organised through a web site and email system. To ensure you are notified of any changes or cancellations and games you need to join the club. The link is

This does not commit you to anything but at least we can advise you of any changes.
Going forward it is this system that invites you to games and reminders about other events.
Once we accept your invitation your son/daughter will be allocated into a squad, for example U12’s and any information pertinent to the U12’s you will be copied in. It is possible to have emails sent to both parents but only after the first email is registered.
When we are arranging hockey matches, then everyone in the squad are invited to play. You will receive an email and you are asked to reply by a certain time whether you are available for selection or unavailable. We do expect replies. The Coaching Team then select the right number to attend the match. You then receive an email detailing who has been selected. We do not pick the best 7 or 11. If you were not selected for one match then you will be selected for the second.
Once you have decided that you like what we offer at Hampton then you will be encouraged to pay the annual subscription. The subscription covers all Junior training and local junior matches. If there is a match levy then you will have been advised this in the selection email. Membership is controlled by the Sports Club and you will have to pay the fees through the Tennis website, This site is only used for subscriptions
