A tale of what might have been. The bad part – they scored two and won. The second a two man break, Hampton need that not to happen again. Now the good and there is lots of it. Our play from the back featuring Henry and dad Dom with Eshan through to Ollie, Joe and Jack was excellent including lots of triangles and give and go. Phils one touch passing was excelent in creating space. Balls into the D from Ollie and Joe as well as Phil and Craig were well struck. Siddharth in his first adult games got on the end of some of those balls and had shots as did Angus and others. Craig was our MOTM playing his usual dynamo role. As one of our over 60s players his work rate is exceptional. We played well first half and completely dominated the second half. We won shorts and were the better side. But their keeper played a blinder and somehow the ball would not go in for us. I swear their goal was moved two foot to the left as that’s where many of our shots went. As Hair Bear (see previous posts) would say there was progress and we will progress further.
