You just have to love Hockey, there are very few other games where a competitive, close game can have a 14 year old keeper at one end and a 50 year older keeper at the other, but so it was against Sills. With Owen, Owen working hard up front and our other departments (Coventrians will get the reference) working well this was a deserved but close run victory. It is safe to say we dominated both halfs but got caught on the break. We scored first from a dizzying run and shot from Owen M. Sills hit back, I think the striker scuffed his shot with the keeper going the other way. The keeper needs to work on his balance I hear coaches cry. But Owen M put us ahead again with a nicked goal in their D. After the break they hit back despite having very little of the ball. With things looking like a 2-2 draw we continued to push and got our deserved 3rd goal courtesy of Owen G. Great game management by Ian Bent helped us see the game out.
