A second friendly and against another full mens team. We gave debuts to Eshan Dhesi-Dabb and George Keating and they both played really well. Things looked a little bleak when Droitwich scored early on but Hampton struck back with a goal from our dynamo Craig Stilling, his goal assisted by Nigel Pond. We then took the lead with a goal from Nigel with a nice bit of symertary assisted by Craig. At this point I was just watching with only occasional break aways by Droitwich to contend with. George was playing a blinder on the right of midfield with Jack Pond involved in everything on the left. 2-1 at half time. Unfortunatly Droitwich used their experience well in the second half and were the side driving to goal. Some teriffic defending prevented chances but a couple of unlucky breaks and a decent goal saw them run out winners 4-2. We look forward to our league game in a fortnight. Our team can only grow in experience, strength and confidence as our youngsters grow into mens hockey.
